Tropical cyclone Belal caused heavy flooding and at least one death in Mauritius on Tuesday.
The storm forced several hospitals to close their emergency departments, and all non-essential workers were ordered to stay home.
Meanwhile, the French island of La Reunion lifted a cyclone alert Tuesday as the storm had moved away from the island and no longer posed a threat, authorities said. Authorities urged citizens to take the necessary precautions and stay at home.
