Gulf Island deer eradication costing $10K per animal

Parks Canada is being called out for what some are describing as an outrageously wasteful deer eradication on a B.C. Gulf Island. A foreign company has been hired to kill more than 80 animals off North Saanich, at a cost that works out to close to $10,000 per deer.
