Israel has ordered people in the centre of Khan Younis to leave for their own safety. Gaza’s second largest city was the scene of fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants on Sunday, although many parts of the city have already been subjected to Israeli airstrikes for the past two months. With this evacuation order, the number of safer areas inside Gaza is reducing by the day. The World Health Organization (WHO) has described the situation as “catastrophic,” as it unanimously adopts a resolution calling for immediate medical access to Gaza. Redmond Shannon reports.
