The Christmas Bird Count, North America’s longest-running citizen-run science project, is happening Sunday, Dec. 17. Kethu Mendis from Nature Alberta, Jana Teefy from Beaverhill Bird Observatory and Nina, the burrowing owl, joined Global News at Noon Edmonton to explain the project’s importance.
