Alberta responds to federal government’s emissions cap

The Alberta government is frustrated by Ottawa’s emission cap proposal to limit emissions by one-third by 2030. Premier Danielle Smith describes the measures as ‘economic sanctions’ and ‘punitive measures.’ While the friction between both levels of government continues to intensify, experts say they’re going to have to work together to reach environmental goals.
