Ontario’s auditor general said between December 2014 and March 2015, the Ministry of Health received doubled the amount of complaints and critical incidents in long-term care homes due to a “backlog of inspections.” The auditor also noted a “comprehensive inspection of all 630 homes” in Ontario was completed by January 2015.”
