Ontario’s auditor general says complaints, critical incidents in long-term care homes doubled

December 2, 2015
Ontario’s auditor general said between December 2014 and March 2015, the Ministry of Health received doubled the amount of complaints and critical incidents in long-term care homes due to a “backlog of inspections.” The auditor also noted a “comprehensive inspection of all 630 homes” in Ontario was completed by January 2015.”
