Longtime tenants of a heritage building on Charles St. took to the streets Sunday to protest what they are calling “renovictions” — where landlords ignore requests from tenants to fix issues in their apartments, and in response, are ignored and evicted to make way for suitors willing to pay a higher rental fee in just a fraction of the space. Also, a tentative agreement has been reached between Unifor and No Frills. Unifor represents more than 1,200 workers at 17 No Frills stores across Ontario.
