Concerns grow over animal welfare in Vernon after BC SPCA announces shelter closure

Residents in Vernon aren’t only losing their last walk-in clinic, they are also losing the BC SPCA animal shelter. The organization making a shocking announcement Wednesday morning that after more than three decades, it is permanently closing the shelter due to structural problems with the building.
