A new shelter is set to open in Bridgewater, N.S. in response to the growing need for supports for unhoused people. That’s despite some questions and concerns around municipal permit issues arising only hours before opening. As Callum Smith reports, the mayor says the town was excluded from provincial communications prior to the shelter coming to the area.
