The New Reality: Nov. 11
Description
November 11, 2023
The Islamic Republic of Iran is among the most dangerous regimes in the world today. It gives billions a year to terrorist groups like Hamas — which in turn, helped fund the October attack on Israeli civilians. The regime violently oppresses its own citizens too — as we saw in 2022 when a young Iranian woman was beaten and killed by its so-called “morality police.” It’s no wonder, then, that more than 200-thousand Iranians have fled their homeland for Canada. But when they arrive, many of them quickly learn that the long arm of the Islamic Republic reaches all the way here. This week’s episode of The New Reality reveals exclusive and alarming details about a growing danger to Canada’s security. Human rights activists, along with legal and security experts, tell us that Canada has a big problem with hundreds, potentially thousands of regime-connected officials operating in this country. And, if Canada does not act, one expert warns, “the smoking gun will be the dead body of an Iranian-Canadian.” Negar Mojtahedi reports.
