Speaking in the House of Commons on Wednesday, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Official Languages Randy Boissonault said that he found it “high shocking” that Albertans from the Conservative party were “absolutely silent” on Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s proposed plans to withdraw the province from the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). Saying that this would be “destabilizing… from coast to coast to coast,” Boissonault added that “when it comes to actually defending Albertans, they sit on the sidelines while we have their backs.”
