Speaking to journalists on Thursday, Indian foreign ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi urged Canada to take seriously “international obligations to provide security” to Indian diplomats and their premises. Bagchi said that everything India is doing is “in compliance with the Vienna conventions on diplomatic relations.”
