Understanding social anxiety

It is estimated that between 8 and 13% of Canadians will have social anxiety at some point in their lives. However, this condition is widely misinterpreted as rudeness or downplayed as shyness. For world mental health day, Global’s Laura Casella is joined by clinical psychologist Anna-Maria Tosco to bust some myths about social anxiety and learn how to help those around us who suffer from it.
