The chiefs of the Wolastoqey Nation, which represents six communities, says that the parties were sent questions on Indigenous treaty rights, titles, policing and systemic racism.

The commissioner will be tasked with reviewing systemic racism across government, but will not have the power to compel people or institutions to give information.
