Edmonton police have confirmed Ward 9 Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra has been charged with mischief under $5000 in connection to the incident on April 2.

According to Carra, the incident was the result of a driver running through a stop sign while he was in the crosswalk, nearly striking his dog.
