Toronto police said in a statement the girl was walking near Lower Jarvis Street and The Esplanade at around 5:40 p.m. on April 23 when she was approached by an unknown man.

Emergency services were called to St. John Vianney Catholic School in Etobicoke just before 12:30 p.m. on Friday for a report that a man allegedly tried to abduct a young girl.
