Tiger Woods will play in this week's Masters for the first time following a car crash last year that nearly resulted in doctors amputating his right leg.

Dr. Joseph Patterson, orthopedic trauma surgeon at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, said open fractures like those sustained by Woods may require multiple surgeries to repair.
