Opposition critics in the House of Commons are calling on the health minister to intervene and ensure her department isn't putting Canadian lives at risk with its work on Vanessa's Law.

Almost three years after Parliament passed a law without a single dissenting vote, Health Canada is facing accusations it is gutting the law, failing to respect the spirit and letter of Vanessa's Law.
