The father of a student killed in the Taber school shooting in southern Alberta almost 27 years ago says forgiveness was at the heart of how he tackled the tragedy.

It was a snowy, spring day on April 28, 1999, when an angry teenager walked through the doors of W.R. Myers High School and fired four shots.
