Noah Vaten was accused of killing 23-year-old Esa Carriere in downtown Kelowna during Canada Day festivities in 2018.

Kevin Barrett suddenly pleaded guilty to the aggravated assault of his elderly mother in West Kelowna in April 2019. The attempted murder charge is expected to be stayed.
