St. Emile Catholic Church is at the centre of controversy after a fill-in priest made comments during services suggesting residential school survivors lied to get settlement money.

Winnipeg priest Rheal Forest said during a service this month that students liked residential schools and only claimed they were victims of sexual abuse to get money.
