The pandemic had forced the march to go virtual in 2021 and 2020, and the actual march was cancelled in 2019 due to concerns about police interacting with survivors.

"We don't want folks to feel like, because of this isolation, they need to stay with an abuser," said Miranda Jurilj of SACHA.
