As hot weather and wildfire smoke impact air quality again, an extreme heat emergency response plan has been activated by the Saskatoon Emergency Management Organization.

An upper ridge in the jet stream is pulling wildfire smoke into Saskatchewan and a hot air mass up from the southern United States.
