San Francisco has shut down its brand new Transbay Transit Center while it investigates two cracked structural beams, which are made from American steel.

Officials urged people to stay off the road in San Francisco on Wednesday, after the city's brand new US$2.2.-billion transit hub was closed to repair a crucial steel beam.
