The U.S. is trying to prevent Russia from launching military action against Ukraine after Moscow massed tens of thousands of troops on the Ukraine border.

U.S. intelligence officials have determined that a possible military offensive could begin as soon as early 2022 and would include an estimated 175,000 troops.
