One day after the United Conservative Party closed nomination applications for the Livingstone-Macleod riding, MLA Roger Reid announced he will not seek a second term.

'I am deeply disturbed by the types of images that were posted to my Facebook page,' Livingstone - Macleod MLA Roger Reid said about the alleged pornographic posts.

The UCP candidate for Livingstone-Macleod says "societal norms have evolved a great deal since then, as have my personal views," after the Alberta NDP raised questions about how homosexuality was described in a 2003 religious newsletter connected to a church he was involved in.
