The endorsement by the committee doesn’t set the plan in stone as negotiations will still need to be held with the RM of Sherwood.

“The concept of this annexation plan, I believe, will allow the developers and investors in this province a clear line of sight to where to place their capital,” Blair Forster, Vice President of Development with Harvard Developments.

The proposal, released on Friday, would see large sections of land annexed from the RM over the next four decades and would allow the city to grow to a potential population of 500,000 people.
