A total of seven people were arrested in connection with drug trafficking in Richmond, Vancouver's Coal Harbour, Langford, and Victoria, according to police in those jurisdictions.

Investigators identified the main Canada-based suspects as Richmond residents, and confirmed their alleged associate had ties to the Yakuza transnational organized crime syndicate.
