Under Bill 19, children will only be eligible to work starting at age 14. Furthermore, those aged between 14 and 16 will be limited to 17 hours a week during the school year.

Unlike other provinces, Quebec has no minimum working age. In British Columbia, for instance, the minimum working age was raised in 2021 to 16 from 12, with some exceptions.
