In 2022, select technicians with the Edmonton Police Service started using a facial recognition software called NeoFace Reveal to help identify suspects in criminal investigations.

The Halifax Regional Municipality introduced the hfxALERT system to the public last week, saying it will serve as the "new mass notification system for the municipality."
