'Twas the day before Christmas and outside the Dome, Flames alumni collected toys to take them to their new homes.

Just before the new year began, a final game of shinny was played at the Canadian hockey rink in Kandahar, Afghanistan. For years, the rink was an escape for soldiers working in a war zone and playing between the boards also holds a lot of special memories for big names around the NHL.
