Roughly 800 members of the Ottawa Police Service who provide emergency medical care are eligible to receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine starting Wednesday.

In 2018, the agency provided standardized mental health training to all its frontline staff and also doubled its internal peer support network program, Chief Myles Cassidy said.
