Kailer Yamamoto leads the charge of young players trying to crack the Edmonton Oilers roster.

Kailer Yamamoto, 19, will be lacing up his skates for Team USA in the tournament only a little more than seven weeks after the Oilers sent him back to the Western Hockey League's Spokane Chiefs.

The Oilers traded up to select Lethbridge Hurricanes goaltender Stuart Skinner on day two of the NHL draft.
