In the run-up to Monday's vote on the future Canada's anti-ISIS mission, the Conservatives pegged the opposition as being against a mission that will protect ethnic and religious minorities from genocide.

Newly appointed Defence Minister Jason Kenney asserted on Wednesday that Canada has no plans to get into a ground combat mission against ISIS in Iraq.
