Minister Todd Smith announced that a needs-based Ontario Autism Program will be phased in over two years, instead of being up and running in April as previously promised.

“A government that says they’re willing to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to rip up a contract with The Beer Store in order to make corner store beer possible, but at the same time is cutting childcare and cutting public health, you really have to wonder about the priorities” said Mayor John Tory.

When asked in an interview with Global News Radio 640 Toronto on Monday if the government would consider cutting other city councils, he mentioned that the Toronto decision is popular and that he's getting tons of feedback about Ottawa.
