Ontario teachers have been without a contract since Aug. 31 and months of negotiations have yielded little progress. Bargaining is now at a standstill between the provincial government and all four major teachers' unions.

Ontario's Liberal government has agreed to cap full-day kindergarten classes at 30, according to a copy of a tentative contract extension agreement with elementary teachers obtained by The Canadian Press.
