Ontario's privacy commissioner and human rights commission say the province should put in place ``effective guardrails'' on the public sector's use of artificial intelligence.

The report released Thursday said 22,458 AI jobs were created in Ontario between April 2021 and March 2022, up 210 per cent from the previous year.
