The drop in Vancouver-area gas prices expected by Wednesday follows the end of maintenance on the Olympic Pipeline in Washington state, says industry analyst Dan McTeague.

One petroleum analyst said prices are expected to dip in the near future, but price volatility could become more common moving forward.
