Officers with the York police were called to an assault early on Saturday morning. When they arrived at the scene in Newmarket, Ont., they found a man with serious injuries.

York Regional Police said on Tuesday at 12:35 a.m., officers received a weapons call in the Davis Drive and Lorne Avenue area.
