Three new judges appointed to Alberta Court of Queen's Bench are all from Edmonton.

An Edmonton judge has dismissed a request by former Guantanamo Bay detainee Omar Khadr for relaxed bail conditions and a Canadian passport.

Convicted killer Travis Vader testified Tuesday at his manslaughter sentencing hearing that he was humiliated with strip searches, attacked by guards and subjected to horrendous living conditions while in custody.

On the second day of his sentencing hearing, convicted killer Travis Vader said his charter rights were violated, he was abused and had feces thrown at him while in pretrial custody in 2010.
