Dozens of people gathered at Calgary’s St. Patrick’s Island on Sunday for Curefest. A Calgary mother, who lost her young son to cancer, was a speaker at the event and is warning other families about the dangers of so-called alternative cures.

A celebration of life will be held for a 12-year-old Calgary on Friday. Natasha Gould lost her battle with cancer after spending her final days advocating for more awareness about kids cancers and the need to raise money to find a cure.
