Calgary police say there will be no criminal charges laid against the employer of a 27-year-old man, killed when the trench he was working in collapsed on top of him in June 2023.

'He was a special individual. Liam had a very specific personality that drew you towards him,' says a friend of Liam Johnston, who died in a Calgary workplace accident Thursday.
