Commuter rail service on the the Agence métropolitaine de transport's (AMT) Candiac line is back to normal Thursday morning, after a 24-hour blockade on a railway bridge forced it to cancel service to and from the south shore.

The Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT) cancelled all commuter rail services on the Candiac line Wednesday morning due to a Mohawk blockade on the railway bridge connecting the south shore to LaSalle.

Police have taken four people into custody after Mohawk protesters calling for an inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women occupied CN Rail tracks east of Belleville, Ont.
