Following the release of the 2023-24 Saskatchewan budget, the public school system said it was 'faced with some difficult budget decisions,' and has now increased lunch fees.

For the past month, Shawn Russell's three kids — aged 5, 8, and 10 — have had to spend their lunch breaks inside the school office "watching everyone else play outside."
