In a unanimous vote, the House of Commons industry committee called Loblaw Companies, Metro and Empire Co. to testify on why they cancelled the bonus pay for employees on the same day last week.

In a letter to customers, Loblaw executive chairman Galen Weston says that things have now stabilized at the company's supermarkets and drug stores.
