The young man, identified only as Vincent, passed away three weeks ago in Kitimat Hospital from a congenital hernia, according to Claire Rattée.

The family said the woman went to Kitimat General Hospital with steady contractions, but was instead re-directed to a hospital in Terrace about an hour away.
