Just over two years after being sent to prison for killing West Shore RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett, Kenneth Fenton has been granted day parole for six months.

Fenton is being held at the Matsqui Institution in Abbotsford and Monday was his first appearance before the parole board since he pleaded guilty in May 2017 to the death of 32-year-old Const. Sarah Beckett.

A Mountie who was pursuing the pickup truck that killed Westshore RCMP Cst. Sarah Beckett will not be facing any charges.
