'I think our trans health care is understaffed and underfunded. It doesn't help the youth who are trying to get care. They can't because there's a huge waiting list.'

"Almost all the families that come to us for help now have a child who is trans," said Anne Creighton, president of Toronto PFLAG.

Moose Jaw Pride recently celebrated a number of significant milestones. Tuesday, the group opened the first Pride office in the city's history. Also, the first genderqueer flag and first transgender flag were raised at Moose Jaw high schools. But shortly after the flags were raised, they disappeared.
