'Due to the active fire in the area, it was deemed unsafe for first responders to enter. A forestry helicopter attended the location and was able to airlift the male out.'

RCMP said the man allegedly took a gravel road around a checkpoint near Fox Creek, became stuck in mud and surrounded by flames, and had to be rescued by a forestry helicopter.
